Gayane is Aram Khachaturian's ballet — the one the Sabre Dance comes from — and in Yerevan it is danced in a staging by Vilen Galstyan, the theatre's chief choreographer, with designs by Minas Avetisyan and costumes by Rubina Hovhannisyan.
Karen Durgaryan conducts, and the répétiteurs are Elvira Mnatsakanyan and Artur Grigoryan. Three acts and two intervals, 2 hours 20 minutes in all.
