The 14th Khachaturian International Festival opens with Rachmaninov. On 26 November the pianist Eva Gevorgyan plays his First and Third Piano Concertos with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sergey Smbatyan.

The programme

First half: Piano Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor, Op. 1 (about 27 minutes). After the interval: Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 (about 40 minutes) — the one pianists speak of with a certain respect.

Tickets

The concert starts at 19:30, with tickets from 3,000 to 15,000 drams; children are admitted from the age of six. The festival is run by the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation with the support of Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
